So my sister has been staying at the hospital with her sick mother for the last couple weeks and her husband works long hours, leaving her two kitties home alone 95% of the time. She has asked if I would stay at her house for a day or two to look after them, give them some play time and whatnot...I want to do it, however there is one problem. Ivy. Ivy is a big girl with a weird temperament. She can be all lovey and want attention one minute, then the next, screech and swat at you.
To be honest, I am terrified of this cat, haha. I call her "Killer" and swear that she is plotting my death. I have no experience with moody, mean cats.
Also, Ivy, will on occasion, have a huge spat with the other cat, Mousie. I don't know what to do in a case like that. I'd be too scared to separate them.
So my question is, since I know there are people here who've dealt with "mean cats", do you think I should just give in and help out and hope Ivy behaves? Any advice how to deal with these potentially nasty cats? And if they do get into a fight, what do I do?
Also, here is a picture of Ivy. Just look at how she stares at me. She sits at my feet and gives me those same eyes every time I am there.
