Turkish Angora Info Please

For those of you who have turkish angoras, can you tell me a little more about what it's like to live with them? Are they very vocal? Do they like to be cuddled and held? I've heard that they are very active but are they constantly running around or do they also make good lap cats?

I love the tabby colored ones but I live alone in a condo and work during the day so I don't know if this breed would be good for me or me good for them.

It's probably best to contact breeders to ask your questions. There are breeders that are members here, and there are people with pure bred kitties. But most of us have moggies that were rescued off the street or adopted through shelters.

There is no way to predict any cat's personality up front. Why not adopt a slightly older cat - or a pair of older cats - where the shelter can tell you quite a bit about their personalities and needs?

You can also do a search in Petfinder for your area for different breeds, or colors you particularly like, or coat length, etc.

Petfinder tends to label moggies as breeds so do watch out for that if you are wanting a certain breed. If you ask in the breeders corner you won't get shelter suggestions, but tips on how to find a responsible breeder or the right breed for you.

I don't think there are any TA owners around on here, GoldenKitty used to have one so she might answer your questions.
