First Time Cat Owner and New :)

Hi Everyone! I adopted my first kitten in August 2010. Jordan is now 8 months old, and he has been a wonderful addition to my family. My fiance and I knocked around the idea of adopting a pet, and after a few attempts we didn't think it would work out. We had tried adopting free cats we found listed on Craigslist, but things never worked out (owner didn't show up, etc). Then we saw an ad that our local humane society was having a "Feline Fest" the following week. We went in on a Thursday night and fell in love with Jordan. He was bashful and one of the attendants tried talking us out of him because he "wasn't as playful as the other kittens". I don't know what this lady was talking about because we got him home and he terrorized the toys we had bought ahead of time!


Jordan has grown and thrived since coming home with us, and I can't imagine life without him.

I hope to get to know other cat/kitten owners on the forums!
