I give up.. this keeps me awake at night, but, God, I miss that little tiger striped cat so much that it hurts. I've hesitated to put this here.. I guess I just kept hoping.. but like I said, I give up.

Back in May, about two weeks before our trailer was vandalized, I came home to find the back door open (I wonder now if it was a predecessor to the break in), and two of my cats missing. Izzy came home in a day or so, but I never, ever saw my Tiger again. I've called and called, and prayed and searched... I hope against hope that he found a home at one of my distant neighbors, but I worry and feel so much that I let him down, and someone hurt him, or he died all alone for some reason outside.. It STILL breaks my heart.

Tiger was born in 2003, not long before I joined TCS, he and his siblings were orphaned at about four weeks old......and he was FeLv+. He thought he was a Himalayan because that was all that I had in the house at the time he came along and they adopted him.... but he mothered every other FeLv+ cat that I ever brought into the house.
I am so very much hoping that writing this here tonight will help bring peace to me...it can't hurt. Meowmy misses you, Tigs... and I probably always will.
Pictures are being strange.. if they're too big, can someone resize them for me? Thanks!

And as an older boy, in his favorite position... on his back, asking for a tummy rub!!

Oh Cindy! Such a tragic unfortunate incident. I know how you feel though!

It's horrible that you don't have an answer - lots of
for you and lots of
for Tiger

I'm sorry that Tiger is still missing. Hopefully 1 day he will find his way back to you, but if not I hope he is with people who are taking good care of him.

Oh dear, I am so sorry. He is a beauty.

He may very well have found a home with neighbor. I know how you are agonizing over this.

Try to believe he is ok and safe with others.

God Bless you and Tiger.

Cindy,

This must be so painful for you. All you can do is know you tried your best to find him and hope for the best. I know that our Lizbeth was someone's pet at some time because she sat on our window ledge meowing to get in. Of course, I put an ad in the paper, etc but you just never know. I hope that your boy is warm and toasty sitting in someone's kitchen, too

Thanks, guys. I really think that it's the not knowning that hurts. "Did he get out and get lost and find another home?' or did he get out and get lost and die out in the woods all alone? Or did he take the opportunity to leave because he knew that his FeLv+ was about to rear its ugly head and take him? Or, as I've asked myself before....did God know we were about to move, and in moving take Sam from the bakery with us, and that they wouldn't get along, so he gave Tigs an "out".......I don't know....all I know is I miss him so very much!

Always keep the hope that you will find him again someday. Many people have had their kitties come home years later after they vanish. Hopefully that will be the case with your beautiful Tiger, or maybe he does have a warm and safe home with one of your neighbors. Remember, no matter what happened to him, he will live on forever in your heart.
Many hugs to you.

Cindy, I'm just so sorry. I know you intellectually understand you can't blame yourself for this, and you've done all you could.... but that doesn't make the hurt and questions stop.

That is very sad and my heart goes out to you
I am glad you reached out to the people who care and who totally understand the pain and loss you must feel. I think this type of loss is extremely difficult to take and get over. Please don't think something bad happened to Tiger. Stay positive that he is well wherever he is and that he knows you love him and always will. Keep talking about this with us, that in itself will ease your burden.
