It's snowing outside!! Look at my brave boy :)

It's rare for it to snow in Atlanta, so it always brings a lot of excitements for humans and felines alike

It just started snowing, and it's dark out because it's pretty late in the evening, but of course I had to go out and show Jake the snow...Maybe we'll go out again tomorrow and enjoy our day off since schools, government buildings and businesses are all closed due to the snow..

The pics aren't very good because I was making sure he doesn't decide to bolt on me, so I wasn't even looking at the camera just snapping away and looking at him to make sure he's not going anywhere..
Anyway here is my brave baby checking out the snow, I can't believe how he wasn't scared at all!!











I was right next to him and he was talking to me the whole time, meowing in a whiny and annoyed voice... I imagine he was saying "make it stop!! Get this wet white stuff away, I'm trying to work for goddsakes, there's lots of bats out there I should be hunting"
That's Jake, always thinking about the hunt....

While I'm on here, I'll go ahead and add some recent pics of him taken in the past few days..












BTW, I have been away from the fur pics forum for a while simply because my camera is really crappy, and I've been waiting to get a new one...It looks like I'll have one by next week though, so I am excited to take pics like crazy again

I love the pictures of Jake in the snow! Wessie was a little scared when he first encountered snow, but soon became accustomed to it and bounced around in it all winter. I'm looking forward to some more pics from you!

My, Jake is a grand cat! Wonderful to see pictures of him.

How much snow are you getting in Atlanta?

Where I am it would take about 12 inches in the night for schools to close. So it hardly ever happens. Sigh (I'm a teacher).

We are supposed to get about 3.4 inches of snow, but since it almost never snows here, the cities don't have the equipment to clean up the roads, so they end up shutting them down...So basically we can only go to walking distance places.

He is a brave boy! Nora loves to go onto our front porch, but she wouldn't even step foot outside today in the snow! lol

I have an old coworker that recently transplanted to Atlanta and she says that people are acting like it's the end of the world there! LOL That's funny, too, b/c we've already received 3-4" of snow, and it's supposed to continue snowing through Tuesday morning. Our schools are closed also.

He is just the most handsome cat!! Glad he braved the weather and checked out the white stuff.

You can thank me for sending that wet stuff your way! LOL It started snowing here around noon or so and then started moving east. (I'm in Texas, btw)

Oh heavens, that boy is gorgeous! I love his white paws, I love that tail, I love his face! He's truly a beautiful cat! And he's very brave to be going out into the white stuff!

Wow! What a handsome boy!!! I love his foofy tail also.....and his white paws!!!

Looks like he was pretty interested in the snow.....and he's got the fur for it!

The picture with the snowflakes on his back is my absolute favorite! Speaking of snow machines, the towns snow plower is out and about making some bad noise! I'm over here in Chestertown, MD. <3 We got 3 inches I believe and I'm really excited to take my girl tomorrow to see snow for the first time. We're from Texas originally so yeah, that's going to be fun! I'm worried though, I hope she won't get sick. She's an indoor cat, I better ask around on the forum. =D Thanks for sharing your pics with us.

mewdrop- as long as she has her shots, she should be fine!! But, be careful that she doesn't run away, if something startles her she may do this. It's always a risk when they go outside..

I wish my kitties could investigate some snow too, but all we get is rain and hail in Africa.
