Bought a new car...

I finally retired the Ford F150 SuperCrew pickup. Well, not exactly; I sold it to a friend who I know needed it, along with our enclosed trailer.



I got the car Dottie really wanted, a 2011 Chevy Malibu LT. The color is Gold Mist (very light gold), with a Cocoa and Cashmere interior.







And a shot of the feature Dottie is most pleased about!



The sunroof!

Of course, it's snowing outside right now, so the sunroof doesn't have all that much attraction today!

It's nice, but I have to say I'm about the least excited about a new car that I have ever been. I really wanted the Scion XB, but you know what they say: Happy wife, happy life!

Congrats Mike and Dottie! BTW... ins't there a piece of information you are missing telling TCS? Hint - it came up the x-mas dinner - you need to open a thread about it, as it is a big deal!

People always say the happy wife, happy life to Rob Though he likes the Mustang he bought me in June too. Was even talking about getting his own yesterday after getting mad at our Acura. I will say, the Malibu looks a million times better than the xB IMO lol My team leader bought his wife a Malibu a few years ago, they love it.

Congrats on the new car purchase! Hope Dottie has fun with it! If there's one thing I wish my Mustang had, it's a sunroof!

You know with the old Chevy Malibus from when I was in highschool, they were just so "blah", but I actually really dig the new ones.

IMO it has elegant lines, and normally I dog on Chevy for having such horrible interiors, but they seem to really be turning things around with the Malibu.

The dual-cockpit style is a nice touch, and I thought the materials used and finer bells and whistles were very well executed. Very nice.

You mean that they re-opened the trucking school and Dottie is back at work? I think I mentioned it back in September, but maybe not...

Strictly speaking the Malibu is supposed to be my car, since I gave up my pickup for it, but Dottie likes it a lot and I'm kind of blah about it.
