Cat's belly saggier overnight

Our 18-month old little black cat Katie cat the snip shortly after we got her in August 2009. Lately, she has been developing a little belly sag, which I have read is probably due to the spaying.

She crapped wet poo on our bed yesterday, didn't eat her meat dinner last night, nor breakfast this morning and appears to have woken up today with a more pronounced sag.

I'm a little concerned. Any theories?

Could this be related to her nibbling a houseplant?

It most likely is directly related to her eating a house plant! Check the ASPCA's toxic plant list to see if what she nibbled is toxic. http://www.aspca.org/Pet-care/poison...=toxic-to-cats Sounds like she's lost some weight because she's not eaten. Call the vet and leave a message on the answering machine or see what the procedure is for sick animals on off hours OR call the emergency vet. She really needs to eat and whatever is in her system needs to be flushed out.

Thanks.
So what do you think the extra sag is? Just a bit of weight lost inside due to plant-related sickness?

That could be because of the house plant. Plants can be very dangerous. I'd take her to the vet just incase.

The extra sag could also be related to dehydration. Her poo-ing on the bed is a cry for help, telling you she's sick.

Extra sagging could be because of dehydration and/or lack of food. I'd get her to the vet just to make sure everything is okay. They can also give her fluids to keep her hydrated and some liquid nourishment.
