The boys were having some diarrhea after their wormer, so I've been giving them both probiotic and pumpkin. This past Sat/Sun their poops were back to being nice and firm. I wanted to continue them for a few days, but yesterday I stopped the pumpkin. Do you think I can stop the probiotic tomorrow, or how long should I continue using it? Thanks!!

you can quit or just keep it for additional help with digestion

I agree, there is no harm in giving a proper dose of probiotics for an extended period. At worst its just a waste of money.

I give my kitties a probiotic once a week just for maintenance.

They can remain on it forever if you want, it can't hurt and might help or you can try removing it and see what happens.

Thanks!! I already have it, so there's no harm in continuing to use it I guess.

A good "rule of thumb" is to keep the probiotics going twice as long as the antibiotics were.
