Sorry in advance if this grosses anyone out.

I've been vomiting with little respite since noon. Its 7pm now. :/
Its the food I ate around this time last night? How is it even possible to still have food in my stomach 16 hours after eating? Or, now, 24 hours?

I've had minor episodes in the past where there was still food 7 hours later but this is ridiculous. I never had fever with it before, either.

I worry that they'll probably admit me.

Oh my gosh, I would say yes, go to the ER now! I'll be sending feel better vibes and get well wishes.. I hope it's not as serious as it seems. I can't imagine experiencing that. Sending hugs too...

Go to the hospital! Uncontrolled vomitting is not something you want to sit and wait out. It doesn't take very much to become severely dehydrated. If your body gets low on sodium and potassium, you could have a heart attack.

So go! Now!

Many heading your way! I cannot imagine vomiting so much, I hate doing it so much as just once. Hope that it is nothing serious and that you wont get stuck there.

I second the go now!

Oh no, I am soo sorry, I hope they don't have to admit you and it's not too serious. They may just give you an IV and send you home afterwards, that's what happened to me when I went in when I couldn't hold down any food or water- but it was a stomach virus so they put an antibiotic in the IV fluid (I think, it was a long time ago so I may have forgotten, point is they could easily treat it) What you're saying really sounds bizarre. It's happened to me to throw up mushrooms from a really long time ago, and I know those aren't easy to digest so I assume that's the reason, maybe the food you ate was something like this too??
Okay that was probably TMI, sending lots of vibes

I have to wait for my DH to get home. Driving is not an option.

The good news, though is at least I'm not having pain in my lower right quadrant. Hopefully that rules out a stone in my bile duct.

I did have mushrooms, actually, but there is more than that.

I do have a history of on going GI issues, no gallbladder, and had C. Diff before.

I'll have my phone on me and will update later if they admit me.

Oh, dear, Hon! It doesn't sound like to food poisoning to me. Not for so long still vomiting and with a fever. Sounds like a bug.

Of course the danger is dehydration.

Do you have a "doc in a box" (immediate care ) to go to? A primary care.physician to call? You have a husband, right, to look after you?

Please let us know how you are doing. I'll be thinking about you.

It better not be food poisoning. Its my cooking! I haven't even been out to eat anywhere.

I wonder what's taking my DH so long …

It doesn't necessarily have to be your cooking. It could be accidental cross contamination. It doesn't take much to spread ecoli or salmonella around in a kitchen. You can do it just through using a sponge or cloth.

Hope you get feeling better.

There are a lot of stomach viruses going around this winter, I came down with one New Year's Eve and ended up going to the hospital Sunday because it had gotten worse. Vomiting, nausea, bloating, diarrhea, and cramping. They gave me an I.V. and some drugs for the cramping and nausea.

I'm waiting on bloodwork right now and getting fluids. Unfortunately my GP is on duty right now, he won't hesitate to admit me if the bloodwork is even slighty off...

Good, for both aspects! If you need to be admitted, even overnight, then that's what you need to happen!

My blood work didn't look too bad so he let me come home. I still have a bit of a fever and feel awful.

Their eventual diagnosis is "maybe a virus". He wants to see me Monday and I'll talk to him then about some GI issues I've been ignoring.
To me this just sounds too weird to be a virus, I've never heard of food staying on the stomach 16 and up to 24 hours later as a symptom of that. That sounds more like gastroparesis (or a blockage somewhere), especially if you couple it with the fact I've had a few past experiences that were more minor, have early satiety, rarely ever feel hungry, etc .
I already have vagus nerve issues/damage, that's why I get very high heart rates and that it could be affecting my GI, too, wouldn't be abnormal. I can point to few forums of people with the exact same thing I have who also have gastroparesis.
In any case I bet the eventual outcome will be an endoscope+motility test.
