I'm also starting to make youtube videos of my kitties, but I don't have an audience yet, so I have no way to know what to do to improve my videos.

Feel free to give me suggestions on what I can do to make my videos more entertaining.

This is my first "serious" video. I recorded my cat playing with a toy while under a mound of toilet paper.

Background info on cats:
My buddy in Toronto found them in a box in a parking lot as kittens. I fell in love with them as I visited them a couple times. When I got my own apartment, the cats became mine, and I brought them home.

They are pretty much the most awesome cats ever. They are not shy at all (about as shy as a dog), and it's pretty much impossible to frighten them. I can also sometimes get one of them to do backflips

Hello there, Jeff!
Welcome to The Cat Site, I hope you post often! I took a peek at your video, and here is my advice. I saw that you have a lot of tags, which is great! Also I noticed that a comment appeared after I had looked at it the first time. As for my advice, I think that you should maybe add a title before the video begins. You may also want to do a little more editing. A more catchy title would be nice... maybe something more like "Funny Cat Playing in Toilet Paprer", you decide what you think is catchy. I hope this helps!

I changed my email address and couldn't post... Had to go into my email and confirm lol.

You guys should make the welcome forum more visible. I looked for it, and couldn't find it, so I posted in the lounge
. Glad it got moved, I would have posted here if I found it

So I should try putting "funny" somewhere in the video title?

I believe that funny is probably a good keyword. I would be more likely to click on a video if it said funny cat, so you probably should. Oh, I watched your other videos, and enjoyed the one about the cat meowing at the phone. Maybe you should work on the lighting a little bit, as some of the videos are a bit too dark. You could try putting a lamp in the area that you will be shooting in, it will be more enjoyable if the viewer can see the cat. Keep the kitty videos coming, as I would love to see them!

Yeah I've always had issues with lighting. The cat meowing on the phone is an old video, and for some reason when it got converted to flash video format, everything darkened.

My new videos though, it's just the room. I'll have to figure something out.

Thanks for watching, and thanks for the compliments

I recorded some new videos, but they aren't very exciting, and some are a bit gross. One of my cats is in heat.

I don't think I have anything that I want to upload yet.

Hey Jeff

Tell your vet's office and be sure to ask about the best time to get her spayed now that you've witnessed her first heat.

Spaying helps prevent later diseases as well as preventing unwanted kittens.
