We're finally moving!!

We got an offer on our house!! FINALLY!! We just canceled our listing with our agent b/c he was terrible, and somehow an agent found it anyway. She just came up to our door and asked to see it, and they loved it. They came back yesterday to see it again and decided to put in an offer.

We have a few things to iron out since we don't have an agent and our house isn't listed at the moment, the agency their agent works for has a rule that all houses have to be listed (not sure why) so we are listing it through my father (don't have to pay commission!!) tomorrow and we can respond to their offer then. They want to close on March 15th, so we'll have 10 weeks to find a new house and get moved.

I'm so excited that this is finally going to be over, but I'm starting to get sad about leaving this house and all of our family. I've never lived more than 15 minutes from my family, so I'm nervous. Moving 600+ miles with three cats should be interesting. haha I'm just hoping at this point that the inspection goes okay. They're getting an FHA loan, so there may be some exterior trim touch up that we have to do (which is stupid) but I think for the most part everything else is fine.

We had, but we let the contingency run out b/c we had no clue when our house would sell, plus since we had to lower the price on our house, we can't afford it anymore.

Well, we got everything worked out, got the offer, and we countered today. We should hear by tomorrow if they accept or not.

We found out why we weren't getting showings with our agent that we fired. We went from 30 showings in 3 month with our first agent to NOTHING with that guy. My sister was looking at the MLS listing and it stated "No showings until further notice." That makes me SOOOOO mad!! That *bleep* didn't like the price we wanted to list it at, so he listed our house just to let it sit. I just think its stupid and just a waste of both of our time.

Updated to add that about two seconds after I hit "submit reply" on my last post we got a call that they accepted our counter! We close on March 15th!! I'm so excited!

YAY!! Start packing!!
