Great cat movie on tonight: Harry and Tonto

For those of you in the U.S., one of the great cat movie stories of all time is on FMC (cable) tonight. It's on right now, but it will play again tonight from 9-11 central time.

Sadly I don't have cable, but I would be sure to watch it if I did!

You're in Montana and you don't have cable? Well, I guess you don't watch much TV then. That's a good thing.

I moved to Missoula in the very early 70's to go to the university. But I stayed 9 years because I couldn't tear myself away from the mountains, streams, trails, skiing, hiking, etc. There were only 2 TV stations when I moved there. On Saturday night one of them showed very, very early John Wayne movies - every Saturday night. A few years later cable came in there - long before it was available in Chicago. But I never had it there as I was a poor college student - undergrad or grad - the whole time.

Eventually I had to come back to the big city, but I still feel that Montana is a part of me. I go back occasionally, but it has changed so much. Missoula still felt like the old west back then.

You can probably, more than likely, get "Harry and Tonto" from Netflix. It's worth seeing.
