Excessive Peeing

Hey guys! I need some advice. One of my babies, Ringo, has been peeing an incredible amount lately. I hear him 2 or 3 times each day, peeing..what gets me, is that it sounds like someone pouring out a cup or something... it is a LOT. My mom heard, and said it sounded like a kitten we had, who had FIV or something like that. Is it a symptom? Should I get him in to see the vet? He hasn't been tested, the vet suggested that I not do so unless we suspected they had it, since they were seemingly healthy as babies. Any advice is much appreciated!

How old is he?

Excessive urination can be a symptom of a disease such as diabetes or kidney disease. I would have him checked out by a vet. I would also make note of any changes in his weight. Is he losing weight? For peace of mind, I'd take him to the vet.

He will be a year in march, and is definitely not losing weight. I will call the vet today then, and see what they say.

Also, I noticed he always has black goo at the corners of his nose. I wonder if maybe he isn't feeling well.

Have you taken him to the vet yet?
