I know, good luck finding anyone else on this site who is in Okinawa, but you never know.
I have 2 little rascals on my balcony (in a cage) that have been there since I picked them up at the park 2 weeks ago just before Xmas. A kuro-shiro girl (point colored) who is going to be absolutely gorgeous and a tora neko (tabby) boy(?) with an interesting tail kinked into a spiral (I think this is the JBT gene run rampant in our local stray population).
They are extremely tame and friendly, leading me to believe that they were likely dumps and not part of the exsiting un-neutered stray community. They were too young to be out on their own and mama cat was nowhere in sight.
They've been vetted, de-parasited, and have a prelim FELV/FIV neg test (it need to be repeated @4mos to be accurate). They are apparently healthy.
If you know anyone on Okinawa, perhaps US military or others who are looking for a cat, please contact me or post here. They are about 2 mos old and ready to go out. I can't keep more than 1 cat in my place and Aya wants no part of the kittens. I don't want to put them back out on the street or have them grow up in a cage.
