I may be getting to be an old fuddy duddy, even a geezer, but man, the colors they are putting on cars these days must be designed by someone who started working for the car companies in 1940. They are so DULLLLLLLLL! All grays, blacks, silvers, pale golds, blues. Nothing that really pops.

This is our Cobalt.

We've been looking at new cars (Chevrolet Cruze, Malibu, Corolla, Camry, Fusion, etc.). Even the red colors are pretty muted.

If you could get the color you wanted, what would it be?

I have:
White Mustang v6
White Integra LS
Red Camaro Z28
Red F350 dually
Silver Monte Carlo SS

I'd either buy black or white on another new car. The Mustang was a toss up between white and black. White with black interior won out.

I used to have a candy purple Blazer. I LOVED that thing!!

My car now is dark blue. Every car I've had since the Blazer has been blue b/c that's my favorite color. Maybe I'm boring, but every car I'll ever have will be blue. I don't care what shade or tone (pref not neon, though lol), as long as it's blue.

Dh used to have a mint green jeep cherokee. He called it The Tic Tac b/c it was about the same color as the mint tic tac. It was totaled in an accident. He loved that truck. Our current car is sitting next to it (not the cop car hehe).

I know, right? Here is my Frontier (this is when I was moving from Los Angeles to Dallas) - the color keeps me from speeding on the FWY - I can be seen from very far!

On the title, it says that my truck is black.
I however, insist that its dark metalic green, and that it only looks green at the equator at noon on the summer solstice.

I agree, it's all boring these days! I like COLOR!

I settled for dark red when I bought my new Toyota Echo in 2003. I wanted the light blue one, but no dealers in the area had any. My only requirements when car shopping was it had to have a tape or CD player, and it could not be beige, silver, or white.

I think if I had my choice, I'd like a bright blue, green, or orange car.

If I bought a new car (I probably never will) or otherwise have a choice in the color vehicle I buy, I'd get a nice dark metallic charcoal gray. I don't like silver or beige, but for some reason I love that dark gray.

My current car is a light seafoam green. The title says "teal", but isn't teal darker, like turquoise? I kind of like it, I guess.

I think go-fast cars should be banana yellow or candy-apple red! I hate seeing cool cars in uncool colors.

I'm the conservative type. I like the muted colors.
I prefer black (current car is), silver, grey/charcoal, or dark blue.
My DH's truck in getting some work done on it, so for now he has a loaner. It's a bright blue Dodge Journey. The SUV may not look that bad if it were at least a more basic color, like black. It looks absolutely terrible in that blue, though. They had a bright green newer Camaro sitting right next to it... yuck.

I see lots of cars in brighter colors, actually, but they tend to be sports cars.

The last 3 cars DH and I have owned (or still do) have been black. We just aren't flashy people. I'd love a sapphire blue car! My first car was missing much of it's paint; what was left was silver. DH's first car was a dark red. We should have my car paid off by this fall; so we may upgrade DH's car after that. But it still wont be anything bright.

the Sebring was Dark Sapphire Blue and it looked like a dull purple
I hated it!
before that I had a silver car, a metallic dark red car and a regular red one. I like blue the best!

I'd like bordeaux, so nothing flashy. Our current car is black, and since it's a station wagon, somewhat reminiscent of a hearse.

Bright (taxi-cab) yellow is supposedly the safest color to have, since it's recognizable in all lighting conditions.

We have a bright red GMC pick up with matching cap! Very easy to find in supermarket parking lots!

My truck is a silver F150. I loose it all the time!

That doesn't surprise me. I once stood at a red light and counted 7 black Passat station wagons going by - and it wasn't a long light.

My current car, a Nissan Sentra, is black, kind of boring, but still a decent looking car.

My first new car as an adult was a Honda Civic coupe, Aztec green - loved that color and wouldn't mind something similiar now.

Nuh uh...might give me away!
Our Mazda6 is black, but DH bought that before we got married (before we were even engaged). My Escort is called just "green" but I call it Jade green, as it's a very pretty shade and it really is a Jade green color.

Our brand-new Ford Edge is Mediterranean Blue Metallic, but I think it's more of a deep teal color: http://www.ford.com/crossovers/edge/

I think Clarence's (PT Cruiser) color is called Inferno Red or something like that. I like red colors (my Nova, my Turismo, and one of my Olds Calais were all shades of red). DH drives a blue Toyota Tundra.

No beige, no white, no silver, no black, no brown. Charcoal grey wouldn't be a bad color....I think Chrysler calls it gunmetal grey for its Cruiser.

My new car is Platinum Gold which looks both silver and/or gold depending on the light. I love it, but then I'm an old lady and not so flashy anymore.
