Does anyone else's baby get SUPER excited everytime the kitties com near them?

My DD Lexi satarts to squeel everytime one lets her touch them, with a big silly grin on her face, its too cute! I definatly have a TCSer in the making!

I don't have a baby but my parents said when I was a baby I went nuts over cats and bunnies. My 7 year old cousin's first word was "cat". I think he was trying to tell his parents something

My sister's granddaughter is that way, but she can never catch any of the cats.

When she visited our house, she thought she was in kitty heaven, even if the kitties didn't think so!

Flambe likes just about any attention, especially with a string, and the unflappable Sheba didn't even panic when the baby fell on her.

Where my cats are
Kitty was Tressa's first word. Now she also says cat and dog (but not with great pronunciation). She loves them; they are not so thrilled with her. My mother's cat Pumpkin will let her touch him though. Apparently tonight she was pulling at his ears and he didn't care for it (poor Pumpkin!); but other than that she's been good with him. She likes the dog too; but we have to watch Abby because she has a history of nipping kids.

Nuh uh...might give me away!
I'll let you know in a few months, lol. Right now though, the boys don't want to have anything to do with babies.
I hope that little Amber will grow on them once she's here. We're trying to prepare them with baby crying sounds and stuff, but Oscar still puffs up. Kind of makes me a bit worried for him.

I told DH we need to order Feliway before she comes so that the boys can be calm once we bring her home. We'll also be doing the blanket swap thing, but with babies and moms staying at the hospital for such a short time anymore, I'm not sure how effective we can make it.

In the meantime, my dad is going to build two screen doors for the nursery, since it's nearly impossible to find wooden screen doors that are only 30" wide. And since there are two entrances to the nursery, we need to make sure both have screen doors so the boys can look but not touch when she's in there by herself.

My 2 year old nephew, Silas LOVES animals. He was at Mom's last night and I went over to visit with him. Mom has a big dog and 2 cats and Si loves ALL of them. Lexi, the dog, loves to lick Si's face and he'll giggle and giggle. He even went in dog bed and cuddled with her.

He'll follow Orbie & Ollie, the cats, around. Orbie loves him to death, but Ollie is a grumpy old man and stays clear of him.

Mistoflees was such a good boy around the girls when they were little. They'd yell "kitty!" and try to run after him. He'd jump over the baby gate and look at them from the other side
He slept with them. If he got annoyed with the way that one of the kids was petting him he'd just put 1 claw out a little- and the girls would stop.

He LOVED rice cereal

When he died- my oldest who was 16 at the time said "Mom- I'm going to miss him- I grew up with him." Awwww.

When we got Sneaky, the girls were a bit older. Loud- but older. She doesn't tolerate small children as well as the old cat did. But we didn't have babies when she was a kitten. And now she's just a grump at times to everyone.

And Holly- I just don't know. She likes people in general- but everyone here is a teenager and up.
