Midnight has had such a bad day today!

First he had to go to the vet, he hates that. He stayes in the back of his carrier and shivers. They took blood and did a urine analysis. When the vet brought him back out, he was meowing. I thought he was hurting. Nope!

We get in the car, and I find out why Midnight is meowing he wasn't in pain, he had to go. He diarrhea'd all over his carrier, and himself. We brought him back into the vet's. They cleaned him up a tiny bit. He wound up losing his blanket. This was his favorite blanket. This was the blanket he kneads, sucks, and purrs on all night long.

We get Midnight home. He stinks. So we call Petco and Pet Smart, nope they don't bathe cats on the weekends. The groomer we usually go to is closed on Sundays.

We wound up washing Midnight ourselves. He was terrorfied the whole time. He fought the whole time. My chest and back are ripped to shreds from his claws. But we couldn't let him walk around smelling like crap, with crap on him.

He wanted to get into his carrier to get to his blanket. My father washed his carrier. Midnight wanted his blanket so bad, he jumped on top of his carrier, which was on top of Luna's carrier. His carrier wobbled. He fell off, the carrier fell on top of his back. He was scared, not hurt.

Everything that's happened to him, has upset him enough that he only at 1/2 his supper. Which is not normal for him. He usually eats his, then fights to eat Luna's supper as well.

Now it's almost bed time and Midnight still doesn't know his favorite blanket was thrown out. I can just imagine what his reaction is going to be.

Can anything else go wrong tonight for this poor kitten.

Luckily Midnight was ok with his new blanket. He now treats it like the old 1. Either that or he's so traumatized from yesterday, that he doesn't notice the difference yet

Poor baby
I hope he is better today!

Can I ask why you threw out the blanket instead of just washing it? Some hot water and a little bleach and it would have been as good as new.

That's awful for Midnight ("poor" seemed to have gotten its use already
)

A fleece blanket washes pretty easily, you should have tried to keep it. Hopefully you can buy a suitable replacement.

I think my father went on the suggestion of the people in the vet's office. Midnight's accident happened in the car. My father went inside with him to get him cleaned up. I wasn't in there, I stayed in the car with Luna. Wasn't going to leave her in the car alone, doors locked or not. They had back to back appointments. I told my father that was a very bad idea getting rid of that blanket. But Midnight seems ok with his new blanket.

His new blanket is the exact same kind and color, we get them at Petco. Luna's is pink, but she's not attached to it. Midnight's is brown.
