Hi guys,
I just got some good news for the new year and thought I would share.
First alittle background.
About a month ago I opened my door to find the cutest kitten on our doorstep crying (part Siamese, white with bright blue eyes probably about 6-8 weeks old). First I asked around to see if anyone knew him, then called the shelter and vet. No one knew who he was or where he came from. I did find out however that the people across the street had him at their doorstep and were about to call animal control. I really didn't want to see this little guy go with them, so I told them I would take care of him. That said, I couldn't keep him, I have two cats and one of them is still hissing and attacking the older cat, she wouldn't put up with another cat. So I decided to post a picture on craig's list to see if anyone lost him, or was looking to adopt him. Honestly I didn't have much hope, there were alot of posting for kittens at the time, and we live a bit away from the city. But as luck would have it, I did find someone, or rather, a young couple. It turns out that this cat looked just like the guy's cat he had as a kid who one day disappeared. They were looking to raise a pet before children and this was just what they were looking for. I kept him for about a week before they came and took him. I had a hard time giving him up, but I have to say I had forgotten how much of a handful they can be at that age.
Anyways, just today I got a phone call from the couple who adopted him. They named him Kiki and they were doing wonderfully. In fact, so good that they have decided to have a baby! I feel so great knowing how well he is doing and how happy he is there. I'm just so happy it worked out. I thought I would share my warm fuzzies with you guys. It seems like a great story to start the new year with
