I called WalMart about my car. They filed a claim and are sending someone out to look at the car. They will call me in the morning and I am going to insist on them towing it and getting me a rental until they get my car fixed. I'll update this thread whenever I get news on this. I just talked to the State Trooper and asked him to make sure they don't impound my car. He said he would take care of it tonight.

Ever since yesterday I feel terrible. My heart is racing and feels very strange. My head hurts and my thoughts I can't keep together. My body just feel strange and I can't explain it. I hope it is all just anxiety but you know, I had a small stroke last year and it scares me.

Keep those vibes coming this way! I think I'll go pull miss Henrietta out of the craft room and lay down with her. That will relax me! Peaches is lounging in the front window where she is always on display for the whole neighborhood! She won't want to move this time of day... I know her too well!

Please don't let these type of thing stress you out so badly. I know it is hard, but you have to take care of yourself first, or else what are those wonderful kitties going to do?

Make yourself a huge glass of water. It sounds like an anxiety attack. I know they are no fun. Pamper your self, light candles, bubble bath, ect.

Well WalMart's insurance people didn't call me first thing this morning, as they said they would. And they didn't send someone out to see the car either. I called them about 2:00pm. The guy on the phone was rude and really ticked me off. Someone else called me back 5 minutes later and appologized saying he'd look into it. Anyway, I had to find someone to tow my car to get it off the freeway and somewhere safe. So I found someone to tow it to Nephi which is about 15 miles away, for $78 plus $10/day storage. Hopefully WalMart will get to it in the next day or two. I can tell already this is going to be quite the ride. UUuuuuuuggggghhhhhhh!!!!

Tam,
I work for WalMart, so I understand your frustration with them!

If they keep pissing you off, just call 1800WalMart.

They handle ALL the upset people and usually will send it on to the Stores District Manager. You should get some results...at least I'd hope so.

Good luck Hon!

Thanks. This is the claims department. I'm not sure but it sounds like they have their own claims?? I just hope to god they do the right thing. I'm scared to death and can't afford to fix this car myself. Not to mention, I don't think I should hvae to!

I'm not 100% positive, but I'm betting that they handle it within WalMart or that WM owns a company that does their claims. I'd still give that number a call. Even if it's just to voice your opinion on how things were being taken care of.

To me if it was WM's fault, then they are liable and should be the ones to fix it. I think you have some ground to stand on with this...so give em' hell!

so so sorry to hear you are going through all this, but girl you have to calm down, if you get yourself sick, that wont help anything, it will make matters worse, you have some furbabies depending on you to take care of them
and any how that would make more bills, dr. bills and those are the worst
so calm down and take a deep breath, it will work out for ya, hang in there.

Thanks! I feel better today. I went to bed very early last night and so I slept from about 7:00 pm till 5:30 am! And I ate. That helped! I had forgotten to eat since Saturday, except for some water, diet pepsi and a couple of plums.

Geez Jelly... take all my fun away! Well, not to worry. No chance I'll get skinny mini! My metabolism shut down after I had leg surgery (running accident/achilles rupture) about 7 years ago. SPAMIT! Been fluffy ever since!

Wednesday's update: Today I got a call from the adjuster that was finally assigned to my case. She quickly informed me that my car needed to be moved to an actual garage. Well why the h*&% didn't the previous 3 people I talked to tell me that?? UUUugggghhhhh!
So I called the tow company and asked them to move it to the closest garage.

Now I need to find a way to take my keys there tomorrow morning. Wouldn't be so bad if it was in the same city. Oh well.

The adjuster seems ok. Still hoping they don't try to jack me around. OH! She told me IF they determine it was WalMart's fault they will pay for a rental car up to $25 per day. Where the heck can you get a rental car for that?? Sheesh!

Check out www.alamo.com I just checked their prices for 15 days from the Salt Lake Airport (since I have no idea where in the city you are), and for a compact car (Chevy Cavalier) it ended up being around $26/day (without taxes and extra insurance). But that's pretty darn close!
