Since my computer, camera, phone, and purse are all within inches of me, I'd grab them all. If limited to one thing, I'd just put my phone in my purse and take it. I'd need my ID and debit card to keep the kitties and me sheltered and fed.
Name something near you that makes you smile when you see it.
Muffin. She just makes me smile....period. She's simply such a sweetheart. She's back here with me, sleeping in her stroller, and she just stretched and grunted a bit. Out like a light.
Geez, Primula, I don't really have anything that could be considered a true luxury item, not near me at work.
Wait, I have a gorgeous tartan scarf made with Scottish wool in Frasier red. I bought it simply because it was Frasier red (after Outlander). It's so pretty and it's become one of my favorite scarves. It's hanging on my coat hook on my office door with my winter coat. I hope that can count because it's all I've got.
(There's a story about my scarf.....right after I got it, I wore it when I had to have my picture taken for my drivers' license. I was waiting in the room and a woman came in and sat down beside me. We got to talking and she asked me if my scarf was Frasier red. And, of course, it was. So then we got to talking about Outlander; she was a huge fan, too!)
(Outlander is the first in a series of books written by Diana Gabaldon and now turned into a TV show of the same name. It's a time-traveling romance but far more than that as Gabaldon provides exhaustive detail on all aspects of the story. She makes history come alive in her descriptions of the Scottish uprising against England in 1745, social customs, religious customs, the state of medicine, means of travel and more.)
I hate to say this but sometimes I wish Chula was not so eager for interaction with me. She spends hoursevery day trying to get me to play with her by staring at me and waving her front paws. It's seriously adorable, but after two rounds of Da Bird and chase the red dot, I am ready for a break. The real annoyance is not Chula herself but how guilty I feel all the time. She is staring at me right now.
Name something near you that is especially dear to you.
A lighter! I have some weird "thing" with them, I accidentally always put one somebody else lighter in my pocket. Thank god, all my friends and family knows about that "thing" and don't mind.
