First meal of 2011?

What was your first meal of the new year?

I didn't have time for breakfast this morning, so my first meal was lunch. Went out to eat at a local place (the Parkside Cafe) with a group and had fried green beans with spicy ranch dipping sauce as an appetizer, followed by a grilled chicken pita. Yummy!

I made waffles for breakfast this morning.

I slept until about 1:00pm today (YAY!), so my first meal was the "last thing I ate" in the other thread. Smoked salmon sandwich with tomato, onion, and cream cheese on an everything bagel. Gary and I shared it.

My first meal was a gorgeous lunch at my Nana's house. We had leftover ham, cold chicken, baked potatoes, green beans, and a yummy avocado and courgette salad. The dessert that followed was even better. Raspberries in jelly, strawberries in cointreau, chocolate cake and homemade baileys ice-cream. So delicious.

i had chocolate pretzels for breakfast..obviously i'm not really a health nut *blush*

Roast beef and Yorkshire puddings

Tim Horton's XL coffee with cream along with a 12 Grain bagle toasted with butter & light cream cheese.

Leftover steak and rolls from Logan's Roadhouse that we had for dinner yesterday.

Breakfast consisting of: scrambled eggs, slices of spam, fried dried squid, rice, orange juice and a watermelon slice.

We slept through breakfast so we went to lunch at Mellow Mushroom
So I got a "The Caesar" pizza! ITS SO YUMMY!
Pizza with pesto, chicken, 3 cheeses, and lettuce It sounds odd but its amazing!

Breakfast was 2 oranges, Big Mac, and a Mountain Dew.

Breakfast was just a piece of toast with strawberry jam.

Two perogies. That's my first meal of 2011.

I haven't really had a whole meal yet. My first thing to eat was some Taco Chips while watching TV. This morning I got up, took my pills, grabbed a bit of a 7 grain salad and snacked on that while watching some TV in bed. Then slept the whole day away.

I just had a few pieces of Whiskas Temptation Salmon Flavour....see this thread, for why....And now I'm going to go and start making my steak dinner (medium rare grilled steak, baked potato topped with cottage cheese, and a caesar salad)

My first meal of 2011 was cheese, crackers, and iced tea. I missed breakfast and was going to miss lunch, but decided, at the last minute, to cut up some yummy monterey jack and pepperjack cheese. I've never been much of a cheese eater, but, lately, I seem to enjoy it quite a bit. I had an assortment of crackers and crisps and they were delicious too. What a fun meal to start off the year with.

And, just because it was my main meal of that, I'll add what I ate for dinner as well. My roommate made a delicious pork roast along with green beans and toasted almonds and mashed potatoes. It was excellent! And, I'm going to have some hot cocoa before bed. What a great first day (of 2011) of meals!
