The person I miss from my childhood:
My great grandmother 1911-2006.

The things I miss from childhood:
My rocking horse I named Clip Clop.
My little rocking chair that played music every time I rocked.
My swing set.

I miss all of my grandparents, but especially my mom's dad, Grandpa.

As far as things go, I don't miss any, excpet if you count my grandfather's farm. Not much of a "thing" person.

You didn't have a favorite toy?

Several of them! One was a stuffed animal that was stuffed with those plastic round things, so was all floppy. He was gray with big pink ears and kind of looked like a mouse, a gerbil, and a kangaroo combined, so I named him "Mogerk."

Another was a "formal" kind of teddy bear my grandfather gave me - stiff, but the legs, head and arms moved. He was just "Teddy."

The other sentimental thing was my pink baby blankey. It was very silky, and I couldn't fall asleep unless I was holding it.

I think of them - and many other things - fondly, but can't say I "miss" them.
An issue of semantics for me.

Gumby..I so loved him.

My Bubba bear I had...that stuffed bear was bigger than me.

I miss my aluminum Christmas tree with the revolving light. I am still mad that my mother put it in the trash. I would sit for hours and watch the tree. I will get another someday.

My grandfather, "Pepa". 1920-2007

My rocking horse I named Money, because I got a penny stuck inside it somehow as a kid
My grandmother finally gave it to the neighbor's kid about 5 years ago.

Living in New Jersey.

Did he ever get the penny out of it?

The persons I miss from my childhood is this couple (Mr. and Mrs. Barsissa) who tutored me. They were childless but had lots of pets. I learned to love animals from them and also they were kinder to me than my own parents.

The things I miss from my childhood are my Barbie dolls, my bicycle, going exploring by myself or w/ my silly friends, collecting bugs, climbing trees...

The thing I miss most from my childhood.....

The SIT & SPIN.

I'd give anything for an adult size sit and spin! We had one for my son when he was younger, and I was able to do it, but it was just a little too small for me to get a good, head whipping spin going.

God I miss that toy.....

I miss my parents and grandparents. And my dog Sabre.

Things, I miss a step stool my dad painted for me for my first Christmas. It was just the right size to sit on for a toddler and he painted my name on it and painted holly leaves and the year 1970. It accidently got sold at the estate auction and the man that bought it would let me buy it back. He bought it in a "box" (kind of a pot luck with a bunch of junk) and it only cost him a dollar. I offered him $20 just for that one thing, and he refused. Why would someone want a stool with someone else's name on it?

Other toys? I miss my model horse collection and my bike.

My absolute FAVORITE toy I still have! A little stuffed dog named Sabre 2. It has traveled with me to college, Guam, and is now sitting on the top shelf of my bookcase. He is now tread bare and has been restuffed many times (including sewing a shirt on him to keep the stuffing in...thanks Mom!) and his eyes and nose are just black and red thread, but he's still my buddy.

I miss everything.
I grew up in a neighbourhood full of kids. We ran free, everyone had the same rules. It didn't matter where you were, you did something wrong, you would be corrected by any adult that was there. At the same time if you scraped a knee, who ever was there would clean it and bandage it. My Mom's parent's lived across the alley. My Dad's parents lived 2 blocks away. My cousins lived beside my Grandparents. It was such a safe, warm, carefree place to grow up. We played from moring til night. Now my Grandparents are gone, so are my parents, my aunt and uncle. All the kids I grew up with have moved away. I also miss my dolly. She didn't have hair anymore.
I carried her around by her hair. I loved her just the same. She was stolen just after I got married. Someone broke into our apartment and stole a box of stuff. My dolly was in teh box.

I really miss my older brother more than anybody else who has passed, though I miss them, too. Rather than missing "things" from my childhood, I miss the pets we had.

He doesn't, he sounds like he was just being a jerk!
