Did we talk about this before? If so, I apologize. Do you keep any kind of journal or diary?

I"ve decided to start keeping a journal, starting today. Nothing exotic or anything, just day-to-day things. I bought a neat leather journal about a month or so ago. Hope I can keep it up.

No, I don't have the time or inclination. I kept a dream journal way back in high school.
I think a lot of people are now using Facebook as a type of journal.

I have an online journal I started in near the end of Sept. 2001 during my freshman year of HS. I wrote in it A LOT more during my HS years but have updated it now and again. I also have another I kept on a different site but have been horrible with regular updates. Life got busy! Used to keep a handwritten one in HS as well.

I try to keep a weather journal but interest wanes quickly. it's kinda spotty. ONly time I keep up is for the 12 days of Christmas because each day from the 23th matches a month. Sometimes, it's frighteningly accurate.

I used to, through high school, college, and beyond. Not every day, just when I wanted to ponder or bitch about things. I have boxes of them.

Also, I went to a unique high school (the last two years) and college where we kept an educational journal, so I've got those too. Pretty cool, actually.

I don't currently keep one, but I have in the past. It's great therapy!

I used to when I was younger and "finding myself". Now that I'm older I don't want to leave behind any evidence

I've kept a journal religiously for the past 15 years. I have dozens of them!
I love reading old entries - when I first met my husband, sorting through my career, when I first got my cats, and details of exotic trips. Great for remembering details you forgot and sorting through things and learning from the past. It almost feels like something didn't happen unless I write in in my journal!

I kept a gratitude journal for a while, and now that I see this I think I should go back to keeping one. Does anyone keep any on line (not counting Facebook). I've seen one called Penzu that looks interesting. I have to admit I type faster than manually writing one, but I wonder if there's a psychological difference, besides the privacy issues. I do like the idea of being able to access the journal no matter where you are, but I suppose a paper based journal would be the same thing?
