Just realized that this morning
Everybody is going to want to get married that day - it's hard to forget your anniversary that way.
I hadn't thought about 1/1/11 - that's cool!

I didn't remember this. Cool!
There is a couple getting married tonight in Manhattan where the ball will be dropped. This will be a first. This will also be a first for me in many years that I won't be home watching that ball drop. I'll either be dancing or toasting the new year in.Originally Posted by jcat

Wow I forgot it was like that
Germans call numbers like that "Schnapszahlen": schnapps numbers. The assumption is that somebody who's drunk sees (single-digit numbers) double.
