Feline Pine to Worlds Best Cat Litter

In all the years we have had Chester Cheetah I have tried several different litters. I had been using Feline Pine, which seemed to be doing a great job. I went to my local Target to get more and it seems they don't carry it anymore! I searched for it in several aisles and didn't even see an empty spot for it. On an end cap I saw Worlds Best Cat Litter and I thought what the heck. It even had a coupon on the bag. So far Chester likes it and I do too. Easy to scoop and even less mess than I had with the Feline Pine. I liked the Feline Pine just fine but I think I will be sticking with Worlds Best Cat Litter.

Just thought I would share.

If he doesn't have any respiratory issues or a corn allergy it's a great, and safer, alternative.
There's just too much issues with the most commonly used woods.

Cool! Do you have a Petsmart by you btw? Here in the Houston area at least they carry the 40lb bags, and it is way cheaper than Target.

I tried Feline Pine years ago when it came out. I think I got a free sample box. I thought it was horrendous! As I remember it, it was just so messy - flying in the air and tracking everywhere. I don't remember if it clumped or absorbed odors well or anything else - if I even gave it a chance to find that out. I was just appalled by how bad I thought it was and dumped it out pretty fast. It smells nice though, at least that's how I remember it.

The partly used box is still on a shelf in the garage. I need to remember to use it to absorb something or sprinkle on ice for traction.

I like WBCL very much, except for the price. More importantly, my cats like it, too.

Luckily Chester doesn't have any such issues. He is a pretty healthy boy at 13+ years.

There is a Petsmart and that is usually where I get my litter, I was in a pinch and Target is closer. Thanks for the tip!

Feline Pine was doing a good job, if I didn't keep up on the cleaning of the box it did track a little more but I was pretty diligent so it wasn't any worse than any other litter I have used. Chester has furry pads so he seems to track a little no matter what I use.

We love WBCL and usually can download some kind of coupon from their website. I get it from PetsMart or PetCo. When one has it on sale, we jump on it.

I LOVE World's Best, and I mix it with Purena Layena Chicken Crumbles. At just $13 for 50 pounds, mixing one 35 pound bag of WBCL (between $28-38 cost) in with the chicken feed really stretches my dollar, and the litter then lasts me 2-3 months with 6 cats using it.

Using the chicken feed brought my litter costs WAY down to just $24 per month - about the same I was spending when I had just two cats using clay clumping litter!

No silica dust to breathe in, much less of a mess, and the cats seem to like it.
