Since he is still early age, I'm hoping to help prevent them and get him on the right track. If only he knew it was for the better! Haha! I've tried only a few different ones so far. I'll admit that I'm a brand loyalist. It's almost like OCD...I have to feed NV Instinct Dry and Wet. It's a bad mindset I know. But what's funny, yesterday I picked up 1 can of the duck formula to try out tomorrow after I use the last bit of the Chicken.

I'll take your advice on the Raw Boost treats and use them with the duck formula. Fingers crossed!!

NVI is an excellent brand. My girl lost her little furry mind over the duck and rabbit and both are excellent protiens. There are a lot of articles on TCS for how to transition a member of Kibble Addicts Anonymous to wet food and this might be helpful as well:

http://www.catinfo.org/docs/TipsForTransitioning1-14-11.pdf

That website also has amazing information on cat nutrition. Good luck....Begley is so lucky to have such a wonderful, loving home [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

Awesome! I can't wait to try what you suggested though. If he doesn't cave in, I'll definitely search a bit more here on TCS and see what I can do. And thank you so much for the link! I remember visiting that site before but at that time I hadn't decided to fully transition. And I completely forgot about that site after the fact.

thank you again! I'm sure I'll be back to post once I succeed...hopefully sooner than later.

Take a shread and gravy can of food and put it through a blender. it will be a gravy if you add a little water to it.  Keep it in the fridge and if the cat only eats the gravy they will get all the nutrients in the canned food.  Good luck!!!!!

I think Kenji is allergic to chicken. I mixed in some soulistic in the pouch with some gravy I made from Friskies tuna that had chicken and he barfed it all up and then ran in the kitchen wanting more of the soulistic which he slurped down. It's $1.19 a pouch. I will look into making up something cooked in the future. He doesn't like cold food either nor warmed up so it is challenging.

thats what I do!!

I was going crazy throwing away half the food until I realized i can simply bring the strays the rest. works like a charm. can't believe it took so long to figure it out!!

has anyone figured out... which is the best brand to give the kittkatts..? these pita gravy lickers??? she literally won't eat anything but the gravy. she even turns her nose up at pate, she's like .. yeah right... I can see the chunks in there, don't even. they may be small but they're still chunks.

grrr.

she really likes the wellness in the satchels, but they are like 1.50 per, so.. only special occasions... anyone know where to find these online for cheaper...?

thanks !!

the problem is with just licking the gravy is they aren't getting enough calories or nutrients. He is thin so he needs to gain weight. He ate a little better today, so fingers crossed.

My guy is about 7-8 months old and doesn't favor wet food as much as dry food. I have him on a grain-free dry food, but just to get some moisture content, I give him whatever wet food he'll eat, which happens to be Whiskas Entrees.

I've tried Blue Buffalo, Merrick, Newman's Own, B.F.F., Weruva, NutroMaxx, Friskies, Fancy Feast, Taste of the Wild... LITERALLY every brand out there.

I've learned a few things about his taste... he will ONLY eat pate textured food, because anything that is in a gravy/sauce... he will only lick up the gravy and leave whatever chunks were suspended it.

I can't for the life of me figure it out! Anyone else experience this? I look like a moron in the stores shaking a can of each variety of each brand just to see if it has sauce or if it's solid, lol.
My 3 year old rescue will eat a gallon of gravy if available. Doesn't even matter if it's REAL FISH OR SEAFOOD BITS IN IT.....she's all about that gravy/juice. I keep several bowls of water, so I know shes getting liquid changed daily, but she's all about that gravy!!! She was however, taken from her Momma too young (we found her as a lost kit in the woods and her eyes were still closed), so not sure if THAT has to do with her preference....

Gypsy will only eat FF Gravy Lovers. First she licks up all the gravy then, since she has me so well trained, I crush two Temptations treats together between my fingers and sprinkle over what is left in the bowl, only then will she eat the rest of her food.

I don't usually chime in after 9 pages but I just wanted to add that my cat loves the gravy, so I usually add a little water to the gravy food. Then when she licks all that up I crush the pieces she left behind, add more water and then she thinks its gravy again :flail::lol: I win. lol.
