...we work from home in the field of finance on a contract basis. We have worked VERY hard since February on a relatively large deal (for us). It's the kind of thing where we get nothing up front, but we get paid when it closes. We have tightened our belts the last few months (despite a few smaller contracts in between that kept us and the kitties going)... but this would mean we can get caught up on bills and get ahead at the vets again.
It's supposed to close today - but there are always glitches. I handled the few on our end this morning, and it's now in other's hands.... but there is the possibility that we get paid this afternoon or tomorrow. The worst case (I think and hope) is Monday. But it would just be really nice to be able to spend a little money on a nice dinner Friday - or something. Just a little treat, something we really haven't had for soooooooo long. AND be able to schedule Chum's next visit to the holistic vet.
(And how nice would snow tires be? ).
Even though this isn't anything serious or dire... if you could spare a few good thoughts or vibes towards this happening today.... it'd literally make our year.
