Wanted to take a second to drop by and say hello...hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!
This was Jack and Kiri's first Christmas with my crazy family, so of course my mother had to subject them to "Playing Santa Claws"...
Sophie-Ann was having NONE of that dress-up nonsense. She preferred more recreational forms of celebration.
I have lost count of how many times I have extracted that cat from the middle of the Christmas tree. It's completely smashed through the middle where she made a bed for herself on the branches so she could lie there and bat at the jingle-bell decorations. She is so lucky she's so cute!
Quick update on Kiri - she's doing really well. She isn't a particular FAN of the other 2 kitties, but there has been - surprisingly - NO fighting at all. Plenty of posturing and hissing, and a few token paw swipes, but none of the "rolling around on the ground Feline Death Match" stuff that Soph and Jack were fond of. I attribute this, at least in part, to all I've learned about cat introductions - both via TCS, and my experiences with the two young'ns. We took this one slow and conservative, and it appears to have paid off. At any rate, she and Sophie seem to have a mutual dislike of one another, and mostly avoid each other, but she tolerates Jack as long as he doesn't get TOO pushy.
For their part, Soph and Jack are their usual mischievous, high-energy "teen-cat" selves. They are the consummate "Good cop, bad cop" pairing - Sophie gets into all manner of trouble while Jack sits there in what we call his "Perfect-Cat Pose," with his tail wrapped around his feet, watching her as if to say "you are gonna be in soooo much trouble when Mom sees!"

I haven't had much time for "recreational online things" of late, but I really miss keeping up to date with everyone and their gorgeous kitties! Hope everyone's well, and enjoying the season!
