Word association game question LOL

I didn't want to interrupt the flow of the game to ask this question - does the reply have to be just one word, or can it be a phrase?

I just looked in on the thread, and the last word was "riding" and the first thing that popped into my head was "like the wind."



A friend and I used to play "word association." We'd take pads of paper, and each free associate a column of words down the left-hand side in a column. We'd swap pads, and then free associate to the word on the left, creating a new column, and so on, until the page was full. The end result when read normally was usually quite funny!

Hmmm would it not be possible to do both or turn into into something like 3 word story lol

You could post the phrase and highlight one word, or leave it to the next person to reply with a word or phrase as they choose. I figured one word would be easier, and people could use smilies to get the minimum number of characters to post.
The important thing is to get the overall post count up to meet tomorrow's deadline. Or shouldn't I admit that?
