I have been a member for a long time but forgot about this site and haven't been here in years.
I have an adorable 13 year yellow male persian Ricky (I've had 12 years) and a 2-3 year old female black short hair Rasta I just adopted on Christmas eve. I'd love more animals but at this point living in an apt. 2 is my limit. Ricky and Rosta are still getting to know each other and driving me a little nuts in the process. I'm still trying to have patience. Last night they took turns crying to keep me awake. Finally when it was time for me to get up they were quiet.
The problem is they both want to be with me but not each other and I can't trust them in the same room yet at least not while I'm asleep.
Ricky is sweet but has a stubborn streak and pretty much does things on his own terms. He only likes me to pet him with my foot and can't stand to be picked up but loves to sleep with me and loves nothing better than to be brushed. That turns him to jello. Rasta is a sweet tempered girl but she's still in hiding. When she does come out she affectionate but perky and can be demanding. She's also very vocal. I'm still getting to know her.
