I've been making bows for my DD and I get TONS of compliments on them, and I've even had a few people (complete strangers in doctors offices) ask me if I sell them, or tell me I should..... so my question to all you is
1) Are these bows really good enough to sell? (pics below)
2) How much would you pay? I figure there are 3 basic types I've been diong "sculpted" "flower" and "big bow" styles...... I always put all her bows on clips so that they can grow with Lexi, and be used w/o headbands once she has hair! Any thoughts and opinions would be very appreciated!

Yes you should sell them! You can't find anything like that in stores! At least not the ones where I shop!

My best friend makes and sells her own so I totally get the hook up on that. The price of hers vary depending on the size of the bow. She doesn't make any as big as your largest ones. I do have one headband from her with a flower that is about that big though. I think most clips are only $1 or $2 a piece. I don't know how she prices her headbands without looking. If you can; make sure they have a no slip grip on the inside of the clip. It makes a difference. Tressa has so much hair now I have to pull it up (people keep telling me she looks like Cindy Lu Who); but I almost always add a clip in front of the pony tail. The slipgrip stuff is more a help when I try to sweep it to the side. Also she doesn't put the ribbon on the bottom side of the clip. That seems to help them slip less too. But I think unless you glue them to their heads they all manage to work their way out some.
I haven't put the headband on Tressa mostly because I don't think she'd keep it on. Plus her hair is getting long in the back. Just one thought; for the bows you make to sell; I would think about offering things in a lower price range and charging more for the big or complicated ones. Tressa is so mobile now and these are the kinds of things she can loose on me all too quick; so I won't spend a fortune on a bow unless it's for something special. (If I were paying for my bows.

Oh, wow! Absolutely!
I think you can make a little business out of this, and have your own brand of baby products... You can do little bows, headbands, pacifier holders...
I think prices will vary to the size though... But are they Sellable? Highly!

BTW I'm totally in love with the blue and white one you posted second to last. And the red white and blue one. That would have looked smashing with Tressa's patriotic dress last summer! LOL!

Here... or There... Hmmm
I don't have little girls, or nieces, or for that matter ever had little girls!!! (ALL NEPHEWS!) But, I've seen them in the stores and your's are definitely very cute and could compete with the ones I've seen. One's that I've seen in the stores are about $5 but made very cheesy and not made very well. (Now we do have to keep in mind that me being in MI and you in NY prices in stores are going to be a lot different...) So I agree with Rigel and say that you could probably get around $10 each, especially if you market them as interchangeable, or able to grow or upgrade.. Sell a full out around $10 and the add on's for like $5 - $7... you could do a craft show at a school near you or a church and sell some there to see how they go for you with little outlay... Mainly make sure you have a card or something for people to call for repeat buying.. or telling their friends... thats what will help you most! Good job honey!

I vote yes! You could also make bows to go on shoes so people can coordinated the baby's outfit from top to bottom!

I think you should sell them, and I bet for some off the bigger ones you could make for adults that sort of thing is big over here

Lexi is getting so big live the pic of her and her dad in football colours

They are definitely pretty enough (and unique enough) to sell, but I don't know a thing about prices. Good luck!

Wow, I love them, I think they would definetely sell and I think the baby hairband bows would be fantastic, you could just buy some stretchy headbands, attach the bows and sell them. I wouldn't know what price but why don't you set up a shop on etsy? Its Free so you have nothing to lose.xx

I think they are great and I just love your beautiful model. We really get a much better idea of how they look when worn by Lexie. I definitely think moms would buy these bows for their little girls. I wouldn't know what you should charge since only you know the amount of time and work you spend on each bow. Good luck with this.

Oh they're gorgeous!!! Not being in the market, I have no idea price points either, but I'm sure they'd sell well.

(And the beautiful model will help!

My gosh those are cute! I really like the headband idea. My DDs hair was pretty fine and it was hard to keep bows in her hair.

I was just going to say the same thing. There are a million Etsy sellers that have the same type of product so you would be able to get a good idea on what they charge for something similar to yours.

I wish I could buy cute things like that, but I don't think my husband would agree to putting those on our little boy
