Miss Marmalade

Anyone want a long haired orange catling? Miss Marmalade is the newest intake at my vet. I kid you not, today I was holding her for an hour, combing her the whole time, and she never stopped purring. I could even turn her on her back and comb her tummy. This is the kind of cat you could dress in a baby bonnet, put in a baby buggy and roll down the street. Maybe 3 1/2 months old. Cannot believe she came in from outdoors in a Hav-a-heart trap just last Friday. Good thing A) I just got two kittens and B) have a husband who would roll his eyes and snort if I made any suggestion about bringing her home. But I doubt she'll have a problem finding a home. Still, if you're in Hunterdon County NJ and are looking for a very sweet, wonderfully affectionate, long hair orange catling . . . .

Simply gorgeous. She'll need to be an indoor only kitty, what with that foofy fur. Fortunate that she loves to be brushed, as she'll be a high maintenance kitty, needing frequent grooming. Just a purry, furry, love bug.

What a beautiful face. And it's a good thing I'm on the opposite side of the country.

Gorgeous looks go along with a purrfect purrsonality in Miss Marmalade. She just adores being held and brushed, will purr for the entire hour that I'm there at the vet's doing just that.

Even the vet tech says that every now and then one comes in that just touches your heart. That Miss Marmalade is not only super-special but needs to go to a special home rather than just any adopter.

I have no doubt this little girl will find a home. If they could adopt out the tabico girl who - if you remember - first climbed under the dash of the homeward bound car and then when they got home probably dashed right into a hiding place as soon as they let her out of the carrier - well, this little love bug will certainly be adopted. I confess that I just wanted to share her attractive elegant good looks with you all.

She was adopted by the Hispanic couple who are barn workers at my vet's stables. They took her home today.
