Aw, Spooky, we're so sorry we did it all wrong! You've forgave us immediately, and for that we're thankful.

We were new to cats. Our first stray had adopted us, and Gary was completely converted.
The next summer, Gary runs in and says, "you're not going to believe this, but I think I saw a bunch of kittens out in the yard."
Yup. He did. Five of them. (Not Booger's - she was spayed). But that neon light had been lit, and mom nested in a groundhog hole up in the woods behind our home. She knew we'd care for her babies.
We named the five of you "the gray kitty" (Lazlo), "black legs" (Sheldon), "white legs" (Tuxedo), "the orange kitty" (Julius), and "black paws" (whose name quickly became "Miss Underfoot") (Spooky!)
I found TCS (note my join date LOL), and in July we adopted our first two indoor-only kitties, Lazlo and Shelly. Tuxedo was "unadoptable," and we were working to find a home for Spooky and Julius. We didn't know what we were doing, and we adopted them to the wrong people. Spook and Jules were there for only a couple of weeks, but it was long enough.
The good news is... Spooky fully recovered from her fear of winter coats, blankets, and making the bed. (Julius was adopted by a vet tech, and we get updates all the time).
Spooky, I'm sorry we didn't bring you in right from the beginning, but who knew we'd end up with three (let alone 8!) cats?
Happy Gotcha Day, baby girl!
Trying to take pictures for an adoption brochure (failed miserably LOL):
Daddy's girl, right from the start:
You used to snuggle with your brothers and sister!
"Black paws," you're our beautiful baby girl:
Then...
...and Now...
