Does anyone here have, or have you used, one of the new double dishwashers? Dottie saw them yesterday, and she liked the idea.

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Don't have one, haven't used one, love the idea. My sil has two fridges (one is in her garage) and that would be so helpful. Two entire kitchens under one roof is a dream of mine.
I haven't even seen a double dishwasher, but I would want one if it reached the ceiling and took up half my kitchen.
Addendum: I just did a search. I do like them, but I had a mental image of a huge dishwasher...the dishwasher equal to a walk-in freezer.

If you are talking about the one with 2 drawers stacked on top of each other......don't buy one. I had a very honest salesperson tell me that they don't clean very well, tend to break down, and they don't fit a lot of things you can put in a regular dishwasher. Good idea, poor engineering.

I've heard the same kinds of things. I post on a cooking board and the people there who have them don't really like them for the reasons listed above. I like the concept, largely because if you only have a very small load of dishes, you can just use one drawer....it is a good idea. But as Momofmany said, the engineering isn't the greatest. At least for right now.

Interesting idea, but I don't really see much of an advantage over running a regular-sized dishwasher every other day in a small household.

I had to do a google search to find out what a double dishwasher is. The idea sounds good, but none of them look like they have very good reviews. I definitely wouldn't want to pay the price just to try it out for myself.

We have a Fisher and Paykel dish drawer dishwasher and we love it. Apparently they can be tricky to install, so to make sure you have someone who knows what they're doing install it, otherwise you will have leaks.
We saw the reviews, and bought a 5 year extended warranty on it just in case, which wasn't much extra, so we figure we're covered if anything does go wrong.
Ours cleans well, and we find it much more practical since we don't generate a huge amount of dishes. The baby stuff gets washed regularly, so we just put one drawer on most days (occasionally we go every 2nd day) with our stuff and her stuff, and it wastes a lot less water.
We usually only put the bottom drawer on if we've had a dinner party, or have been cooking a heap of stuff and need the extra space.
I think for 2 people, it's perfect, especially if you don't like having to bend down to get stuff off a bottom rack of a regular dish washer.

I'd rather have 2 regular dishwashers.

I'm sorry, first thing I thought of was 'Yep! I've got double dishwashers! Left and Right Hands!'

I think this is the one we have - http://www.fisherpaykel.com/product/...659BA9A2F1543E
The other thing I like about it, is that everything clips and folds, so you can organise the drawers to be most practical for you. For example, since we mostly use the bottom drawer for dinner parties, we have the wine glass holders on the bottom rack so we can easily run a bunch of wine glasses through safely. And you can fold everything flat so you have one large surface.
