Could I Get Some Vibes for DH, Please?

Today is the first of my hubby's carpal tunnel surgeries. I think he's taking it pretty calmly, while I'm a wreck. I'm hoping there are no complications from his diabetes or CLL.
A few vibes that everything goes smoothly would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, everyone! Even tho' the surgeon was an hour late, it appears that everything went ok. As soon as I was let into the recovery cubicle Dave wanted to know where I was taking him for lunch!
I got his pain pills into him, an ice pack on his hand for awhile, and he's asleep on the sofa. His 2nd surgery is in 3 weeks--if there are no complications from this one. Geez, I'm sitting here ready to bawl; I didn't realize how worried I was about this whole thing.

Now I can go make the frosting for his birthday cake. Mmmmmm, cake.

Thanks again, everyone! I love you guys!

The family restaurant he wanted to go to was way too busy, so we had pizza and salads. And will have birthday cake later.

Suprisingly well. The pain meds must be working, plus he's following the dr.'s orders (ice, elevation, sling) like a good boy There's still quite a bit of numbness in his a couple of fingers, which surprises me. I know the dr said he'd injected novacaine into Dave's arm that should last about 18 hours, but it's been 24 now and it hasn't quite worn off. That's probably a good thing, huh? I'm afraid once he gets all the feeling back that it's really going to bother him.
Thanks for asking!

Wow - he's following Dr's orders?????? I don't have one of those.....

it isn't too painful once the novacaine all wears off!
