What do you (dis)like about Facebook? - Page 2

LOVE facebook!

We all have accounts (me, hubby, son) and I am the admin of our local humane society's fan page, and our houseduck is a popular girl, so she has her own page as well. (she even posts on it from time to time)

I don't like the constant changes, and all the game "stuff" but I have the majority of them blocked.

when there is a post on the upper right corner is an X click it and a menu will come down( an improvement IMHO) of block this post... block the person who sent it or block this game / app/ cause

Do we have a thread here to add friends or is it just done via pm?

You can do that?
I don't really hate game requests but I just don't have the time to play.
I like FB to help me get in touch with long lost friends. In fact, one of them I have not seen for 20 years.

I love that you can see old friends and such but I really hate the games and, like others have said, I block all game requests. A very good website to organise events with old friends and with family and keep in touch though.

I don't have a facebook account. My sisters are addicted. I hear them talking about it. From what they say, my conclusion is that people tell too much stuff on there. I hear them talking about who is on vacation, where they went, when they are coming back. They post a lot of pictures out there. I am just paranoid, I guess. I don't want my pictures on the internet.
I am already in touch by telephone or email with everyone I care about. This is the only forum I participate in.

Regarding the games. I find the requests really annoying, but not because I don't like them. I just don't have time and my internet really is too slow to load them. Maybe when I'm having a holiday I will have time for them

Great Idea for a Thread Tricia!...

I hate the new application on your profile!... I love the old...

PM, it's better not to have people's full names on here

I really hate the games. And I don't like seeing drunk party pics, I feel like that's TMI and there are things you don't want the public to know you've done.

For keeping in touch with my cousins I loved it but then family drama got to be too much when my mom and aunt had a falling out. My aunt deleted me because of my mom, everytime my cousins and I talked my mom would be a jerk and it finally got to the point where I just deleted my account after giving my cousins my cell number to keep in touch. The other thing I didn't like was people from my past or bfs past friend requesting me, even though I never accepted them I still didn't want the request. You would think after over 3 yrs of not being in contact with those people they would take the hint to not bother me.

I also agree with the drunk pics that's just stupid. I was guilty of posting those but nothing extreme just those goofy happy drunk friend pics but some people have some crazy stuff on there and its unreal.

Another thing I thought of, when you have all your family and your dhs family as friends......why post a status that they all can see about how you are fighting or making snarky comments about your dh. Ugh that drives me nuts. I'm the only person in the family without a fb acct and I'm always telling them that if they would stay off it they would probably have less argueing and snippyness among each other.

Everything, I don't trust FB and deleted it not long after I joined.
