Minor kitten problem post spay

Sniggles was spayed on the 14th, she's doing pretty well, she was actually woozy for about 2 days after the surgery and has had a really clean healthy looking incision. (Although she did get a nipple topped off when he shaved her)

I was holding her tonight, and it was really obvious she wanted me to skritch her bare belly and new hair growth... I was rubbing down into the crook of her leg, where the belly meets the leg and there is a lump about the size of an un-shelled pecan, I know that's weird for me to be exact like that, but that's what it feels like.

Is there an organ that far down that I'd be feeling or would she have an infection in a lymph node do you think?

I don't want to run off screaming to the vet that she's got a health issue if it's just normal.

There is a major lymph node there in humans, and I think it's the same in animals as well. I would take her to the vet, or call the vet and ask what they think. That does sound really large and inflamed for a cat lymph node, that's about the size of normal human nodes.

I would take her to the vet.

Take her to the vet. It sounds like it might be what Autumn had. It looked like a hard lump? They gave her Amoxicillin.

OK well he and I just talked on the phone and he said that he gives the cats a shot to prevent infections and usually it's right there since they're on their backs under the anesthesia. He said that if she has a knot there, that's a good sign that it's working and if it changes from a pecan size to a walnut, then to bring her in. He claims it will go away pretty quick now that it's swollen up.

Sometimes... I don't know about this guy, seriously. He's a nice man and all, but he is seriously trying to sell me on some $200.00 vitamin regimen for myself every time I go in there too. :-\\ It's kind of bothersome... you know?
