Anyone remember this from the '84 Olympics?

All because I was searching local real estate ads, and found BOLERO Drive! : Funny how my mind works!

I remmember watching this live...one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, and I'm not even keen on the sport!

I do remember this and thought at the time that it was wonderful. However, I had forgotten how truly unique and beautiful it was. Thank you for reminding us.

I remember that performance well - there hasn't been anything in pairs like it before or since. They were the best ever.

Beautiful! I don't remember it because I've never seen it before. It was during a period of several years where I didn't own a television.

And unique for another reason. There was a good reason for the graceful "dance" at the very beginning. The music was longer that allowed for the actual performance, so they couldn't move their skates until several seconds into the music, and they didn't want to just be standing and waiting.

It was a great performance, and as someone else said, I don't think it's ever been matched.

A lot of skaters have tried to copy their style since then, but IMO nobody has ever quite come up to their standard.
