They did not do any tests, just based on symptoms. Said they had seen a lot of it the last few weeks

I did go to work, but only stayed about 4 hours. Was feeling pretty weak and tired so came home to take a nap. Do have to work tomorrow, then I'm off Wednesday and Thursday. If I'm not well by then, I will go to see my regular doctor on Wednesday.

The nausea is completely gone, thankfully. Have graduated from jello to soup on my diet Tomorrow I may try actual toast or something.

I bet they see a lot of things you don't have. I'm more inclined to believe bacterial food poisoning because it's so easy to get and if you get a good dose of it your immune system isn't really going to fight it off that easily.

I'm glad to hear that you'll go Wednesday. Take care of yourself in the meantime. I hope you get to feeling better before then, but if you so much as get a fever/chills or more cramping before then get yourself to the doctor sooner.

Feeling better today. Not great, but better than yesterday and the day before! Thankfully just a short 6 hour day today, then 2 days off to rest and recuperate before the busy work weekend.

I originally considered food poisoning when I first started getting sick, but everyone in the house at the same things as me for the 2 days prior, so wouldn't someone else have gotten sick as well if that was it?

I feel for you! I've been sick since last Friday! Spent most of the time in bed trying to sleep while hacking up a lung. Cough, runny/stuffy nose, gummy eyes, congestion, aches (even my gums ache), fever, sweating buckets, chills and diarrhea (off and on).

Awful time of the year to get sick!

The best thing to do is to stay home, rest, drink fluids and avoid being around others so that you don't infect them! I wish people I work with would have taken that advice! Everyone around me was coughing and sneezing over everything for weeks, and yet some still insisted on coming to work even though they looked like death warmed over and had to go home sick part way through the day!

I thought of you today as I sat at the urgent care facility for 7 hours with my 18-year-old son hooked up to IV's. Three liters, they gave him. Since he was a baby he has had difficulty stopping vomiting once it starts. He actually took two shots (6 hours apart) of Phenergen, and still felt bad. Based on blood work taken, they suspect food poisoning. He recently moved into his own apartment, so who knows?

Needless to say, he is spending the night on my couch, so I can keep an eye on him. He was one vomiting episode away from being admitted to the hospital. Scary.

I hope you get to feeling like yourself soon!

Hope he is ok!

I'm feeling much better today. I feel like I'm ready to eat some actual food! Just have to be careful what it is. Hopefully this is all behind me.

Unfortunately my brother has started feeling sick this morning... I hope he doesn't have what I had.
