I took my older cat Yoshi(15 years) to the vet about a hair ball like cough that ended with no hair ball thinking that it was heart problems as I had a cat 3 years ago that was 10 die from congestive heart failure and that was one of the signs. He listen to his heart and told me with his age and that fact that his heart sounds great he was sure it was not his heart. Six months ago I had lived in another state and had taken him to the vet for a runny ear turns out there was no infection and no fungi or ear mite just a waxy ear they said. When I pointed that out to the vet he said it was possible he has a nasal polyp. He is getting his teeth cleaned Jan 7 at which time he will get a x-ray to determine if it is a polyp or not. Has anyone else had a cat with one of these and if so what was the out come? From my understanding they may not can remove them and other than steroids there not much help and is there light at the end of this tunnel?
