October 25th was the last time I saw my year about about 8 months old black boy Dodge. He was a stray I found behind my fiance's auto shop. Even though he was indoors he always longed to be outside. Sitting in the window, waiting at the door. One day he snuck out. It's in his nature an all he knew so I expected him to always want to go outside. He came back once for food and would not let us catch him. That was the last time I saw him. It's two months today. I am so heartbroken. I have fostered many kittens who I have lost because they were already far gone when I found them. I had another cat who was black and had FIP believe it or not and had a seizure at 4 months. I still don't miss them as much as Dodge. He was such a good boy . I'm just hoping for a Christmas miracle that he will be sleeping in some tires behind the station. I know the odds aren't good but I don't want to think the worst.

Stranger things have happened. Cats have returned after being gone even more than 2 months. Although, I am sure it feels like a lifetime to you.

We had a feral cat, Bib, who disappeared for about 4 or 5 months at least. And on Easter morning, I looked out and there he was.

Someone could have taken Dodge in. Lets hope that is the reason.

Keep the faith....he may just show up someday again.

I know how bad it feels to lose a cat, except Wessie came home five days later. I can't imagine how it would be if he was gone for so long. I've heard of cats coming home many years after they are lost. Never lose hope that your little Dodge will return.

Maybe Dodge will come back 1 day.

I had a cat Mickey 2 who lived at my great grandmother's house. She always wanted to go outside, and she snuck out. Every time I was at my great grandmother's house I called her. My grandfather and I were walking in the woods once, and saw her. I called her, but she ran from us.

I had a outside cat who would come and go and she came home after MONTHS of being gone. She came with the house and I had trapped and spayed her. Sometimes well meaning ppl take them in not realizing its an owned cat.
