I picked up my ring!

I went and picked up my ring today!!!

And I'm completely insane, but I ended up buying another one too!! It's black and white diamonds.

The girls at work think I'm crazy! My clerk bought me a jewellery box for Christmas to keep all of my diamond rings!

I blame it all on my friend Ronick! She is crazy about jewellery and while I used to wear jewellery back in the 1980's when I would go to the night clubs, most of it was costume or cubic zirconia stuff. Since 1994 I pretty much only wore a lapel watch: No rings, bracelets, necklaces or even earrings.

She pestered and bugged me to get one single ring for myself. So I ended up buying a birthstone ring in Sept 2009. And it snowballed from there! This will be my 4th, and absolutely, positively, the last one!!!!

Those are pretty rings!

The next ring I'm saving up for, is a "mom" ring with Lynxx, Luna, and Midnight's birthstones in it.

Those rings are beautiful. You like jewelry and there's nothing wrong with treating yourself to something special. And it was thoughtful of your clerk to give you a jewelry box to keep them in. Enjoy!

Gorgeous rings. I have a whole bunch in my jewelry box that I almost never wear any more. Maybe I need to dig them out again.

Beautiful rings!

Amethyst is my birthstone. When I went on a cruise in 1999 (I was 12), I bought a 2ct loose amethyst for $20 in the caribbean. One day I'll get it set!

I love the white and black diamond ring as well!

Nice!!! I love the amethyst one with the smaller stones on the sides. There's nothing wrong with treating yourself to something you really like and will use. Enjoy them!

They have a black diamond one too!?! (I'm pretty sure my hubby got me the regular diamond one I asked for for Xmas ) He's gonna hate it if they have a black diamond one as well! Especially since I'm a black cat fiend.

Edit: Just found a bunch of cat jewelry on Zales. Greaaat!

No necklaces. I can't stand anything around my neck. I do have a jewellery box filled with costume ones though: Bead and fake gems.

I Googled and I don't think there are Kay Jewelers in Canada. At least I couldn't find an outlet. I checked the US link, but don't see a cat pendant on their site. I do see some stunning rings of brown and black diamonds though!!! Much larger selection than where I have been buying my rings (Ben Moss Jewellers). We have other fine jewellery stores where I live, I should check them out to see if there is anything that strikes my fancy...but then again, I really shouldn't!!!

I checked Kay's, didn't see any black diamond cat pendants. I have two from Kay's - one with diamonds as an outline (well, pretty sure its one of my Xmas gifts ), and the other with white and yellow gold, with gemstone body and small diamonds for a collar - hubby got that for me 2 years ago for Christmas

I looked on Zales.com and they have a lot of black diamond and a few white diamond cat pendants, and even a black diamond cat ring. I will be asking for one of the black cat ones for our anniversary probably

I just checked for Zales. We have those here. I was looking online and they have a huge selection of rings.

I saw the cat pendants, and while they're really pretty, I would never wear it because I can't stand anything around my neck. Shirt collars even bother me.

I really need to buy my iron bed, so this is absolutely my last ring, at least for now. Aside from my bed, I need to get another living room set at some point in 2011 too. So I need to concentrate my funds towards those.

But I'm sure I haven't bought my last ring! Towards the end of 2011 I'm sure I'll have bought yet another!

LOVE the amethyst! It is absolutely beautiful. My daughter's engagement ring is a black diamond, and not trying to burst your bubble, but it did not wear well. She has had it almost a year, and the black stone just does not seem to keep its luster. You should get yourself whatever you want that will make you happy.

That's ok. I wash my hands so often at work and use that alcohol sanitizer, that even the regular diamonds don't keep their lustre for long between cleanings. U clean my rings weekly, and they stay shiny for the 2 days I'm off work

Thanks so much! Work goes in fits and spurts with blocking sites. Sometimes it's blocked, other times it isn't. I don't even pretend to understand out IT Department! LOL
