Stray kittens in B-room and redirected agression!

I did it again...

I found two 6-7 weeks old kits in the park with no momma present and took them home.

Theya re isolated in my bathroom (okay the toilet closet) which is by the front door. There is an inside door to get into the rest of the apartment.

Aya is intersted in none of this however. She wants them gone. If I go to use the bathroom or come back even remotely smelling like kittens or if she's in the kitchen and hears them mewing she throws a hissy fit, literally. She sits on the edge of the counter bares her teeth and takes swipes at me.

The poor little guys just wanna be loved too. If I use the B-room, they want to crawl all over me and sit on my lap, etc...

are you wanting to keep them or just foster them till you can find homes?

I would start exchanging sleeping materials, give your older cat the things they have slept on and vice versa. That way they will get used to the scent.

Can you bring the other kitties into the living quarters in a little cage a couple times a day....your kitty needs to get used to them..descenticize them so to speak.

The more they see and smell eachother, the less redirected aggression there will be.

Of course all the usual precautions should be taken...shots and exms for the babies. Also, be very careful, they are just babies and we don't want the older kitty to hurt them.
