Well I like A Christmas Carrol with Allister Simm. Its in black and white but I just love the whole feeling of the movie.

Of course, the old standbys....Wonderful Life, does Charlie Brown's Christmas count? I like that too.

Of course, White Christmas..Bing is a distant relative of my husband, so that's always fun to watch. Too bad dh can't sing a note!!

Home Alone 2, Christmas Story, Jingle All the Way, Muppet Christmas Carol. As you can tell with 3 out of 4 of my favorites, I was a 90's child.

The Alister Simm's "A Christmas Carol" is GOOD! Even better, for me, is the one with Reginald Owen and an even better than that is an older one starring Sir Seymour Hicks (English) and entitled "Scrooge." I have them all on DVD.

I MUCH prefer "Holiday Inn" to "White Christmas." I have "Holiday Inn" and my other favorites named above on DVD, too. I have my own copies just in case the TV channels let me down.

I like, even sometimes prefer, black and white movies to color.

Tomorrow night when I have to stay home to watch over Lily, I think I'll watch a whole bunch of these favorites!

Oh, and both the cartoon and live actor versions of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" are great - as are a whole lot of others. I just LOVE Christmas movies!

Great thread topic! I thought about starting it myself, but never got around to it.

I don't recall the name of this movie but it's with Chevy Chase and the Griswold family. That movie just cracks me up, really funny. Ok looked it up it's called Christmas Vacation, I should've known.

Over the river and through the woods...
It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle of 34th Street (the original with Natalie Wood), White Christmas, The Bell's of Saint Mary's. Oh, and Meet Me in St. Louis. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" makes me tear up every time.

I'm a sucker for the classics...what can I say?
