The Alister Simm's "A Christmas Carol" is GOOD! Even better, for me, is the one with Reginald Owen and an even better than that is an older one starring Sir Seymour Hicks (English) and entitled "Scrooge." I have them all on DVD.
I MUCH prefer "Holiday Inn" to "White Christmas." I have "Holiday Inn" and my other favorites named above on DVD, too. I have my own copies just in case the TV channels let me down.
I like, even sometimes prefer, black and white movies to color.
Tomorrow night when I have to stay home to watch over Lily, I think I'll watch a whole bunch of these favorites!
Oh, and both the cartoon and live actor versions of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" are great - as are a whole lot of others. I just LOVE Christmas movies!
Great thread topic! I thought about starting it myself, but never got around to it.
