I understand that this weekend is Christmas, but we were looking forward to having our two new kittens for Christmas. The foster mom was supposed to drop them off today, and I was to call this morning to set up a time. I just called her and she told me I had to wait until next week b/c she has a COLD. Seriously?? We even offered to come get them from her but she said no. I'm so upset and disappointed and my son is crying. *GRUMBLE* I know it really isn't, but 4 days seems like forever, especially since we already had to wait one day. *sigh*

Why would she say no to you coming to get them?? Something doesn't sound right to me. I bet she's stalling... I'm sorry sweetie. I can just imagine how much you were looking forward to getting them.

I have NO idea. She said she didn't want to expose us to her "cold". Then she said that "if we were still interested we could have them on Monday". Why wouldn't we be interested anymore?? A little put off, yes, but we still want them. I even tried playing the "my son was really looking forward to getting them today and is really excited" card, but that didn't work. I told her to even call us later today if she is feeling ANY better, and we'd be happy to come get them. She did say that maybe she could get the rescue director (or whoever she is...the person in charge) to come bring them to me...but she didn't want to expose her either. *sigh* I don't know what to think.

**update**

She just called back. She said she took some cold medication and laid down for a bit and feels better. She's bringing them over in about an hour! YAY!! I'll post pictures when they get here.

That's great I'm happy for you! I can't wait to see the pictures.

It sounds to me like she's hesitant to give them up. I remember when I was a kid and our mama kitty had kittens, the day they went to homes were the hardest days of my life. (We didn't know what spaying was, then)

Glad she gave in. Post pics, please, and Merry Christmas!!!

They are here!! They are super cute!! The black and white one is definitely the leader and more brave, whereas the tabby patch one is a bit more skittish but just shy. They are hiding right now, I'll take pictures as soon as I can.

Oh that sucks! That would be so irritating! A cold.....I have to work and go to school and take finals if I have a cold. Letting someone come over and get their new kitties would be nothing! Ugh....at least it's only 4 days.

Oh yay she brought them!!! I'm so glad she "got better"

She probably did feel poorly, but wanted to drop them off so she could see the home they're going to.

I'm glad she got the kitties to you. In all fairness, I've had that cold and it really sucks. LOL!
