Good Morning everyone:

I'm about to take Lucas and Nena to the vet to test them for FeLV (Feline leukemia) and I'm so nervous! I just hope they are negative. Lucas was negative las year, but Nena has never been tested and my Baddy is positive.

I'm just praying and praying. I will know the results at 4pm, the vet keeps them both there so he can sedate then to take the blood and then he keeps then until they wake up.

I will give you all an update later.

Tamar

I just got back from the vet with my two babies Nena and Lucas and I'm happy to say they both tested negative for Feline Leukemia!!!! Im so happy and relieved!'

They were all together so if they didn't get it I think they must be inmune, but the bvet told me to keep them apart from Baddy, who is positive. That is so sad, but I will do it. I still have to take Flaqui and Fuzzy to be tested next week.

Thank you all for your words of support

Thank you soo much Carolina, I was so worried, specially for Lucas, my poor boy wouldn't be able to handle both Lupus and Leukemia.

Now I feel hopefull that the others could be negative too. And of course I will always take super special care of my positive baby Baddy.

Did you ask the vet about the immunity test for FeLV? I am really shocked your vet sedates cats for bloods, even my nastiest cats haven't needed that, all mine get Emla cream which stops them fighting it so much.
