Daily Thread Thurs Dec 23rd

Morning all!
Since I may not be online the next couple of days. Merry Christmas!!!

I've got a smidgen left to finish on the stockings since I decided to take creative liberty with the kitty stocking and make it in the shape of a fishy. Haha so now its just finishing that and sewing some pieces together. I should be done in a couple hours.

Good Christmas Eve day morning from NZ! just got home from work midnight and back at 8am -- who invented this work thing? working until 4pm tomorrow and then got to pick up some more supplies for my kittens which I forgot today. Just milk and jellymeat and such. Home to give love to my babies and then back to work for Work drinks, and hopefully in bed before 2am Christmas morning.

I don't know if I'll be around or not.... Christmas Day we don't do much.. its just 3 of us in the morning so we'll open most of the gifts then, saving some for when my older daughter gets home on the night of the 25th.

Boxing Day, 26th, we have Christmas at the in-laws so thats our full day.

We really don't have much family, well I don't. I have my mom that lives a couple provinces over, and thats bout it. Thankfully we have my DH's family.

Nothing much planned today, me and DD came out of town with DH (he goes for work) and might hit the mall later, dunno. Might just stay in a veg.

A nap is definately in order as DH kept me up with after hours work stuff.

Oh how exciting of a life we lead LOL.

I've just finished helping my mam sort the garage out and now she's shouting at me coz I turned the speakers down on her computer and now its not working which of course makes it my fault, funny they are still working though

Any how I think I might do a spot of shopping tonight because I've been paid woohoo

I am SO happy for your DH Nat!

I'm in the office today but my account team has the day off so I'm basically getting paid to do nothing. My boss brought in homemade red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing for everyone...mmmmm...

Dana's Mom called him the other day and they had a long talk and reconciled some things. Looks like we'll be going there for Christmas brunch. Not sure how I feel about that, but if it makes him happy, I'm there for him. Still no call from my Mom.

We'll make the most of it...although it just won't be the same.

Wow, that's fantastic, so happy for you. I am off shoppin shortly, going to the farm shop to get some meats for over christmas and got to pick up my mil's christmas order. Tomorrow probably do a bit of last minute shopping, we're having a quiet xmas day but got all the family coming over on boxing day. My dh's grandad isn't too well again and he's waiting for the doctor to o, to be honest I don't think he'll be with us much longer.

Morning.. wow it's still morning?! It is. And it's SUNNY, no more rain! For a few days anyway..

Today I am doing laundry, it should be finished soon actually. Oh there goes the buzzer.... hang on..

OK all folded and hung up. Now.. not sure what I'm doing, then early afternoon I'm going to do my weekly site insection and then hopefully meeting BF when he gets done with work for a holiday drink with some co-workers, since he has tomorrow off and gets off work early today.

And tonight since there's no Hopheads meeting, we may take the bus down to Belmont Brewing Co. which is a nice brewpub, though their beers aren't the best. They have good guest beers though, and good pizzas. That's not definite yet though.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful afternoon! The sun is coming out a little over here in Montana, I hope it stays that way! I might make some divinity fudge for Christmas today. I've been sitting around on the computer all day, browsing the forums. I wish someone would put easier questions in the Christmas Song game, so I can post something! Didn't do a lot besides chores today and a lot of shifting things around looking for a pair of pants that ain't jeans. Cloudy and gloomy here again, light whitecrap and windy, nothing new there - guess yesterday was our shot at sun for a while again. Have to get cleaned up and try to look civil for a candlelight service tonight and have about an hour since I should be there around 6 for a 7pm service.

catbehaviors - send that sun north, you guys been sending snow and cloud and cold!!!LOL

That's great news, Nat! Christmas vacation started today, so I cleaned and did some laundry. The in-laws will be over tomorrow for dinner. Got a new smart phone and messed around setting it up, etc.. Snow tomorrow.

Hubby woke me up this morning at 7:15am for work ... shows how much attention he was paying me yesterday afternoon when I told him I took last-minute time off for today Went back to sleep and woke up at 9:45am, ahhhh.

For some reason I thought it would be smart to brave the crazies doing last minute shopping today Got to a Walmart plaza that has a Dollar Tree (what my mom requested we do for Xmas - dollar tree stuff under the tree, and then $50 spent on one another if we go out shopping Sunday in NC). I LOVE the dollar store Forgot how awesome they are, got a lot of stuff for only $24. Even a cute white cat ceramic figurine and a power strip Walmart was a fail not just once, but twice! Last year I tried to make my hubby a calendar of me doing pole stuff for his toolbox at work, and they printed 8x10 photos instead. This year I made the calendar, hit submit, and the kiosk restarted and the guy told me it didn't go through (same dude from last year, I wanted to use the cute taser my friend gave me for Xmas yesterday on him ). So I said forget this (in more vulgar terms!) and went to Walgreens. Unfortunately Walgreens "sends-out" calendar requests, so he wont get it until 1/7/11. Buuuut, he's waited a year, what's a couple more weeks. I need to replace the Matco-skanks calendar he got from the tool guy asap

Wrapped all the gifts, got the kitties some more stuff (spoiled brats ), and now just waiting for hubby to come home. He wrapped my presents at the shop today so I couldn't see them. He's on a mission to find another 12 pack of Coors for my dad (he likes the regular, not the light, never can find it in bottles!) for tomorrow. Then we'll see if being in NC is aggravating or relaxing. I look forward to my mom's delicious roast beef on the rotisserie for dinner, and possibly vodka penne on Sunday. And the snow that we're supposed to get up there (and even in Charleston!)
