Hi I am new,,
I have 3 cats,, we just got a new kitten in October. Pickles is the baby female,, the first week was hard,, Bella (3 years old) our female silver point,, and Loverboy (also 3 years old) long hair tuxedo male were very unhappy with us,, until they realized she was a fun loving play machine! Bella is our shy girl,,, she doesn't just come up and cuddle anyone and new comers barely get the honor of her presence! She is very sweet and loves to cuddle one on one once she trusts you. Loverboy is the alpha cat,, loves to be up high, and has an odd habit,, he loves getting baths! Whenever somone in the family has a bath,, he is right there, waiting to join you in the bathroom, and will sit on edge of tub until you wet him down. I learned pretty early to get a squirt bottle from the dollar store to soak him down,, it was just faster! He will sometimes bathe up to 3 times a day, and if you deny him access to you when you have a bath,, he throws himself against the door,, crying and meowing until you let him in! He also loves to be brushed and brushed! Pickles is just a fascinating kitten who loves to cuddle,,, and play and sleep,, or just claw her way up your leg as you sit at the computer... LOL.. I always get a kick to see her playing with the others,,, Loverboy knocks her down to groom her, and then the kitten will lie on top of him and chew his ears! All very sweet! oops,, rambling on too much,, but those are my babies.. and in the behavior section I asked a question about sudden aggression, because Bella has over the last week become aggressive towards Pickles,, snarling and hissing and attacking her. Bella is spayed, and Pickles is not,, (only 3.5 months old right now). Could this be the problem??
xoxoxo cat peeps!

Welcome to TCS! Bella may just be getting used to having Pickles around and is taking it out on Loverboy... Hopefully everything will work itself out for you soon.

Welcome J,
Thank you for your introduction.

I wonder if the current conflict between Bella and Pickles is because Pickles has not been spayed. At 3 1/2 months, if your vet agrees, it might be a good idea to have it done.

If I can help you with questions you have about our site, just ask.
Please make yourself at home.
