From the looks of it, we may get snow on Christmas. Just a dusting, but it doesn't happen often here, so it's a big deal.

Where do you live, hun? If it's a rare occurence, I hope you get just enough to make everything look beautiful.
The weather forecast here is calling for snow Christmas Eve. Of course, it could be 96* and they'd still call for snow for Christmas.

The forecast for where I'll be on Christmas is saying "Heavy Snow"
I'm so excited!
It'll make the aggravation that will come with the trip soooo worth it!

Hopefully you'll get it. I wish I could send you ours. We've got several inches on the ground, despite relatively mild temperatures today, and the forecast is for more snow Christmas Eve and Day.

I hope you do.

For me Christmas is not Christmas without some snow...Mind you I could do without the feet of snow we've had, but I am hoping for more snow on Friday, even just a dusting to cover the trees

Happy Holidays folks

I mentioned in the daily thread that our local weatherweenies are talking about a storm coming up the coast. They think it won't get much farther than eastern PA (we're in central PA) with central PA to maybe get a dusting to an inch or so. It all depends on the track of the storm....as usual. Right now, it's tracking more toward the east coast, so you guys along the coast and up into New England are going to get the brunt of it this time. It's supposed to be a biggie.....says the weatherweenies.

When it comes, we'll find out.

I could make do with a green Christmas. Wouldn't break my heart in the slightest.

Don't get me wrong. If DH and I are in the house and we don't have to go anywhere for a few days or so, I'm fine with snow. I do enjoy sitting in the living room and watching it snow while drinking a mug of hot chocolate. So perfectly quiet and peaceful. And I love walking when it's snowing. But it doesn't stay pretty very long and gets all grey and slushy. I don't like having to drive in it. And our driveway is a bear in the snow.

I have raked the roof more this year than all of last year! UGH! We have about 7 or 8 inches left on the ground.

Bring on the January thaw!!!!!!

We are in the NC Piedmont, about 30 minutes north of Charlotte. We get snow occasionally, but it's been years since it snowed on Christmas. I dream of living someplace where it snows and snows and snows. (It's Maine in my fantasy, but it could actually be West Virginia.)

I'll be in Kannapolis, NC for Christmas
About the same drive time away from Charlotte!

I will say, that area of NC is getting a lot more snow now than it did when I lived there
I'd rather go back to Jersey where I'm pretty much guaranteed snow in the winter!

Our white Christmas has come! It is snowing cats and dogs! I'm glad we were able to make to our destinations today and glad to be safe at home now. There were relatives coming in from Europe and Asia...I hope they have arrived safely. They probably won't be visiting my mom's now, especially with the weather, but I hope there flights were not delayed.

Glad you got the white Christmas you were hoping for! We did, too, 5 inches of snow. I really would have been happy with 1 inch
