How does your cat re-act with Olives?

Have you ever fed your cat olives, If so. How do they re-act?

My cat goes crazy! He jumps in the air and pounces on it, he can smell them from miles away. Once he ran away, so I sat outside with a box of olives and called his name I turned around for a second, and I turned back around to see him putting his head in the bucket trying to take an olive. He's such an adorable cat.

A lot of cats go absolutely nuts for salt, which is basically all an olive is. Sometimes after I go running my cats will lick my arms to get some salt. Gross, I know, but it proves the point. Be careful though, as too much salt in your cats diet will lead to the same problems as in humans, like high blood pressure.

They lick your sweat? That is gross

We give olives to him only when he's lost so he comes back. Sometimes he' doesn't even eat them. He does the same with coaco Puffs, he jumps on them and throws them around for like 4 hours. then just stops and puts it in a corner to play with later.

Chynna loved olives! I would give her one periodically when I was having some.

Abby doesn't like people food.

Never tried giving them olives. The strangest thing I ever saw Lynxx like was celery. I was sick and had chicken noodle soup, I don't like celery so I ate everything but that. Next thing I know Lynxx is eating the celery from the bowl. He loved it. Luna eats anything and everything, so I'm sure she'd eat an olive. Midnight goes crazy for shrimp.

Before we moved to Canada, I had 7 cats in my front yard.
They never had olives though, They never saw them because we didn't let them in the house, they lived in our backyard [ Our backyard is very safe for cats to live in]

Nora LOVES olives, to lick them and play with them (much as you described) but she'll never eat them.

When you hold it infront of his face, He stands up on his two feet and tries to hit it.

I've had several cats that loved olives---first to play with, then to eat. The strangest thing any of mine ever liked was cantalope. As soon as a cantalope came in the door, my Clancey was beside himself until he got some.

I had one cat that went nuts over olives. He wasn't interested in eating it though, he just wanted to rub it all over himself and roll around on it.
